Meet The Team

Karl is the PSD Groundscare Business Development Manager for the South East and East Midlands and is responsible for market and dealership machinery sales growth throughout the Groundscare, Turfcare, Landscape and Arborist industries. Karl has a wealth of experience including over 12 years working within the agricultural and groundscare industries where his roles have included not just sales, but also within parts and service. With a real passion for groundscare machinery, Karl oozes enthusiasm and takes great satisfaction from helping and assisting customers obtain the right machinery for the job in hand. Karl is married with 2 daughters and in his spare time enjoys running, binging on TV box sets and following Burton Albion Football Club.

Michael is the PSD Groundscare Business Development Manager for Wales, Midlands, Yorkshire and the North East of England. He is responsible for the market and dealership machinery sales growth throughout the Groundscare, Turfcare, Landscape and Arborist industries. In 2002 Michael started working for a large photography company and then in 2007 his taste for Groundscare machinery began. Michael started working for a large machinery supplier in Cannock and in 2009 he went on to work for a Groundscare dealership in Worcester a position he held until he joined the PSD Groundscare team in 2019. Michael is married and has two young children. When they finally go to sleep Michael is a very happy person! However, in any spare time he gets, his hobbies include fishing, squash and basketball.

Peter is the PSD Groundscare Business Development Manager for the South West of England. He has extensive industry experience and his role sees him responsible for the market and dealership machinery sales growth throughout the Groundscare, Turfcare, and Arboriculture Sectors. After leaving School, Peter completed a National Diploma in Business & Information Technology and in 2002 started out on his career which has included 2 years as a sales negotiator at a local Estate Agents before he joined our sister company, the GGM Group back in 2008 as an Area Sales Manager. During his earlier time working for the GGM Group, Peter had a gap year in 2013 where he went travelling around South East Asia and also lived in Melbourne, Australia for 9 months where he worked selling energy, a position that he regards as an extremely fulfilling and beneficial experience. Following his travels in late 2013, Peter worked for PSD as National Account Manager, before returning to GGM Group in October 2016 where he played a pivotal role in launching our GGM Haydock Depot, with the fundamental responsibly for forging new partnerships with Key Accounts in the West Lancs and Cheshire regions. Peter now lives in Devon and is happily married to wife Olivia with whom he has a young daughter to keep him on his toes. In his spare time, Peter is a keen Snooker Player and also enjoys taking part in outdoor pursuits such as walking, camping and fly fishing.

As the PSD Sales Co-Ordinator, Lindy is the hub of the team. She is the main internal point of contact for both our national dealer network and our supplier partners. Her day to day role involves supporting the field sales team with their requirements to ensure we excel in our customer service. Lindy’s career before joining PSD Groundscare has seen her work for Hallmark cards plc for 13 years in the customer service team looking after several multi-million pound key accounts. Since joining PSD back in 2014, Lindy has played an instrumental part in the development of our dealer network which continues today. Lindy lives with her partner and her son and also has a daughter and 3 grandchildren age 3 to 8 years so doesn’t have much spare time! In the little time she has she enjoys cooking and various leisure activities.

John is our Demonstrator & Installer and looks after the safe delivery and installation of machinery which includes any required training to BAGMA standard. His knowledge across our full range of machinery is second to none. Apart from a short break, John has worked for the group since 2001 when he joined our sister company; GGM Groundscare as a Senior Service Engineer and in 2008 took on the position of Workshop Foreman. His experience with the company is a huge asset and there’s not much in the world of machinery that John doesn’t know about. Qualifying in Agricultural Mechanics back in 1990, John has always had a keen interest in engines and general mechanics and in his spare time he keeps himself busy building and renovating old cars.

Scott is the PSD Groundscare Marketing Manager and in his role manages our in-house marketing team and looks after all offline and online marketing activity. Graduating with a 2:1 BA(Hons) Business Degree back in 2003 he embarked on his career in Marketing, starting with a leading national wholesaler. Since this his career has seen him working at an award-winning creative communications agency and a leading North West Packaging company before taking up his role at GGM back in 2014. During his time with the company, Scott has implemented and managed the shift in our day to day marketing activity to focus on a digital content strategy encompassing website development, email marketing and social media whilst remaining attentive to our traditional offline activity including brochures, direct mail and events. Scott is married with 2 young children and enjoys spending his spare time in his garden or at his caravan in Wales.

Alex is our Digital Marketing Assistant here at PSD Groundscare and in his role he helps assist in all our online marketing activities for the company. Graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University in Marketing Management back in 2019, he soon after joined a Creative agency based in Lancashire before coming to join the team here at PSD in 2021. Alex has joined the company to assist in all aspects of our digital strategy, helping in our day – day social media strategies, email marketing campaigns, website development, copywriting needs and making sure we remain at the forefront of what Is possible In the social space. Alex spends his free time with friends & family or attending games at his local club Burnley FC.

Mark is responsible for all our After-Sales functions across the business encompassing technical advice, service and parts. Upon leaving school in 1993, Mark embarked on a Plant Fitter Maintenance apprenticeship at British Nuclear Fuels. Then in 1999 after a year travelling around Australia, he joined the company in the Horticultural workshop. After a short stint away where he worked for BT Openteach and he returned to the business as Wokshop Manager a few years later and has continued his development into his current role. Mark’s day to Day responsibilities see him overseeing the running of both the service and parts departments and is the customer key point of contact for technical advice and support. He has been instrumental in implementing a number of new systems improving the efficiency of the after-sales teams and improving our overall level of customer service. Mark is married with 2 children and in any spare time he has relaxes by going sailing or walking in the Lake District.
