Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is responsible for providing on-going company representation and ensuring that dealer, key account and rental company sales objectives are achieved, as per the annual business plan. Primary focus will be on developing a network of dealers and hire companies that will stock and promote the PSD product range for sale and / or hire to both consumer and commercial users and provide professional after-sales support.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for:

•Development of the market across the West Midlands and Wales areas for our franchises (AS Motor, Eliet, Koppl & TS Industie) via independent dealers, hire companies as well as appropriate key accounts.

•Manage and support existing partners and recruit, educate, and train new channel partners.

•Develop annual business plans with dealers that meet sales goals and objectives

•Feedback relevant market data, including competitor activity, buyer behavior, market trends, and business opportunities to senior management / suppliers.

•Achieve sales objectives for all categories within the product portfolio.

•Assist in preparing annual and monthly sales forecast

•Actively engage in pioneering work in regards to both dealer and hire partner recruitment.

•Completing all documentation (including transfers, stock requests and invoicing) accurately and according to company requirements.

•Monitoring and reporting accurate market data, competitor’s activities and developing trends within the industry.

Establish and maintain necessary contact with key customers and industry associations.

•Maintaining current knowledge on new products, competitors products and other general market information of interest to customers

•Complete monthly reports, data base maintenance and weekly expenses according to requirements •Utilize CRM tools to log trip reports, sales opportunities and key industry contacts.

•Attend training meetings locally and internationally as required

•Ensuring sales activities comply with legal and ethical standards •Other duties that may be required at the direction of the Sales Director.

JOB DIMENSIONS Primary area of responsibility – West Midlands and Wales.

•Sales goals and channel development will be key drivers of success.

•An organized, pro-active, results driven person with a strong bias toward sales execution, customer service and after sales support.

•Willing and able to demonstrate the range of products in the PSD range to potential customers

•Regular travel is required, estimated at 60%.

•Must be a self-starter and able to function with minimum supervision.

SPECIFICATIONS

• Exceptional and proven sales skills in a commercial environment. Demonstrative relevant experience in capital equipment sales, and knowledge of the U.K. Groundscare and / hire equipment market a distinct advantage

•Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to establish effective business relationships with internal and external partners

•Comfortable engaging all organizational levels in the selling process.

•Possess a sound mechanical aptitude, with an ability to adequately identify mechanical and operational aspects of the Capital Equipment.

•Strong organizational, planning, communication and negotiation skills

•Full clean driving license covering catagories B+E

•Excellent PC and ‘Microsoft Office’ literacy

•Experience with CRM tools an advantage.

•Highly developed written and verbal communication skills

•Accepts a flexible work environment and has ability to respond to continually changing priorities.
