Our 2022 – Year in review
Stuart Mercer, Sales Director of PSD Groundscare gives a review of a challenging yet highly successful year at PSD – and an insight into what 2023 holds.
Its been the first year of relative normality after the pandemic, and whilst weve still had obstacles of a different nature, were proud to have continued doing what we do best – supporting our national network of specialist dealers, selling machinery, and servicing our valued customers.
2022 was a year of building on both our product range and our already strong customer service offering. This has always been at the forefront of our activities, as we recognise the investment customers make in our machinery and we work hard to ensure they are supported all the way through their experience. This also includes our After Sales support of parts and technical advice, ensuring that we are on hand for any requirement customers may have.
2022 saw us launch several exciting new brands that complement our existing portfolio. In summary the new brands are:
-
- Canycom world-class manufacturer of ride-on brushcutting solutions built from Japanese excellence.
- EcoTech innovative Italian manufacturer of high performing specialist pedestrian mowers for long grass and steep slopes.
- GRIN a leading Italian manufacturer of pedestrian long and wet grass mowing solutions.
- Stella German supplier of robust, high performing solutions that includes ride on flail mowers and tracked remote control brushcutters all designed specifically for efficient mowing of long grass and on steep slopes.
The addition of these exciting new ranges, together with our existing brands including Eliet and Koppl, allow us to offer a solution for almost any landscaping maintenance requirement.
It was also fantastic being back exhibiting at national shows and events, in particular APF in September and Saltex in November. We had a larger than ever stand at Saltex due to our product developments and we wished to showcase our range in the best possible way. We had more enquiries and visitors to our stand than ever before with a huge amount of interest right across our product ranges. In addition to customer shows, we also re-introduced our exclusive dealer event with manufacturers present to offer hands-on training and advice, ensuring our dealer network are well versed to service customers.
We have also been busy continuing with our social responsibility objectives, including implementing working practices to reduce our impact on the environment and in our charity fundraising which this year is in aid of The Northwest Air Ambulance. Activities so far have included a 95km team cycle as well as our annual Christmas Jumper day.
So, what does 2023 hold? Thats the million-dollar question! For the next 12 months, our plan is to simply continue what were doing while looking for ways we can continue to develop and grow both in our high level of customer service, as well as developing our product range and bringing new products to market and of course we will also be continuing our fund raising, having achieved 37% of our target of £10000 to date.
